30/03/2009 - ERIC WITHER
It is with much regret and sadness that we have to announce the death last Friday of long standing and respected committee member, Eric Wither. Eric served the club for 65 years and even through his illness was a regular attender at Barrfields in recent months. He will be sadly missed at the club and our thoughts at this time are with Ann and Mandy.

28/02/2009 - Saturday's Mascot

The mascot for Saturday's game against Auchinleck was 7 year old Gareth Reid of Glenacre Drive, Largs. Gareth is a pupil at Kelburn Primary and is the son of Club Secretary, Donald Reid.

This is a new venture for the club and anyone interested in having their son or daughter as a mascot for future Thistle home games should contact a committee member.

The cost is £50. For that the child will get to keep the full Thistle kid's strip. We will put the child's name and favourite number on the back of the strip. The child will also receive a club pennant and get their photograph taken with their favourite player, which will then be autographed by the player.

This has already proved popular and we will be starting a waiting list soon.
